Concert Band Program
Overview
The Concert Band Program at Springside West Secondary College offers students a vibrant, supportive space to begin their musical journey starting in Year 7 and continue developing throughout their early secondary years. Delivered as part of a home group curriculum, the program provides hands-on experience learning a musical instrument, rehearsing in an ensemble, and performing regularly.
Designed to welcome beginners and nurture growth, the program provides expert instrumental tuition and access to instruments for hire. Students build their musicianship and leadership skills progressively, playing a diverse repertoire that includes everything from classical and nursery rhymes to movie themes and contemporary hits.
