2023 Booklists

Please find below downloadable links to each of the 2023 booklists. These booklists include all of the materials, texts, and subscriptions that students will need to participate in the curriculum programs for their respective year level.

CAMPION BOOKLIST PURCHASES AND PICKUP

The preferred method of order and payment for our bookseller – Campion – is online. The front cover of the booklist contains the relevant login information for you to proceed with completing all orders directly with the bookseller online. Parents and students can also directly access our booklist system via the following link:

Please note that booklist orders made prior to Friday 4th November 2022 and processed through Campion’s website by this due date, will then be available for Home Delivery the week ending the 18th November. If you elect to retail shop instead, the details for Campion’s service centre hours are located on the inside of the booklist. Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are unable to offer on-site collection of the book packs as in previous years. Campion are only able to offer Home Delivery service. Families will also be able to continue ordering texts via Campion through to February next year.

YEAR 7 AND 8 BOOKLISTS

Please note that all subjects running in Years 7, 8 are core compulsory subjects.  As such, all texts [novels, textbooks] are required by students in order to undertake the core programs for the year.

In the instance where subjects have indicated either a “PRINT & DIGITAL” or “DIGITAL ONLY” purchase option, please select one of these.

YEAR 9 AND 10 BOOKLISTS

The Year 9 program contains a combination of core compulsory subjects, as well as elective options in a range of faculties. As such, the booklist is divided into two sections, with students required to order all of the resources for the core programs. With regards to the elective options, students are only required to order the texts and resources which are relevant to their specific elective program. Students will be receiving their finalised Year 9 subject list for 2022 early in Term 4. Please use this as a reference when completing your online purchases with Campion.

The Year 10 program is made up predominantly of elective options in a range of faculties. All students will be studying English as a core subject and as such, will require all of the resources listed. With regards to the elective options, including mathematics, students are only required to order the texts and resources which are relevant to their specific elective program. As above, students will be receiving their finalised Year 10 subject list for 2022 early in Term 4.  Please use this as a reference when completing your online purchases with Campion.

MATHS PATHWAYS

For Years 7, 8 and 9 a subscription fee for “Maths Pathways” is included under Mathematics. This is a compulsory educational tool used in place of a textbook. The subscription fee enables students to access the software using their laptop device and will be used each day as part of the Mathematics curriculum and assessment program.

VCE, VCE-VM, and VCAL BOOKLISTS

These booklists contains all of the resources required by students for all of the VCE, VCE-VM, and VCAL courses offered here at Springside West Secondary College in 2023. VCE students are only required to order the texts which are relevant to their specific VCE program. Students will be receiving their finalised Year 11 and Year 12 subject lists for 2023 early in Term 4. Please use this as a reference when completing your online purchases with Campion. VCAL students [those currently in Year 11 moving into Year 12] are only required to order the texts which are relevant to their specific VCAL certificate for the year. The VCE-VM booklist applies to those students currently in Year 10 moving into Year 11 in 2023.

TRANSITION PROGRAM – Weeks 8 and 9 of Term 4

All booklists from Years 8 – 12 contain resources that students will commence using as part of the transition program late in Term Four. As such, it is essential that these texts are purchased in advance in order to facilitate students accessing the course material and homework tasks that will need to be completed over the term break.

STATIONERY

Included under each subject heading as well as at the end of each booklist, is a catalogue of the required stationery for that particular course. Parents have the option whether they choose to purchase these stationery items through our bookseller – Campion – or through other retail outlets.
